It is truly impressive how much fun the LIV golfers have among themselves. The Saudi-backed circuit has given new meaning to the game of golf with its smaller numbers and big pockets. The players on the PIF’s circuit have openly claimed how happy they are and have often taken a stance against naysayers in unison.

The ball lay at the edge of a steep and he explained how he was going to make it fly over to the greens. “Look at this lie,” he started, “So, it’s going to be hooded shot.” He calculated the angle and decided to make the ball. “Come out low, pop up, and trickle down.”

And so he did. DeChambeau made the ball do exactly the kind of antics he wanted, which was a difficult shot to begin with. What was astounding is seeing Phil Mickelson standing with his mouth open. “You’re going to give me that for a par,” said Lefty. “That’s a gimme par,” he added.

In light of this shot, Mickelson may already be dreading challenging the Scientist in the player-on-player 9-hole challenge. He truly used science to solve the problem of the shot. The 51-year-old golfer was stunned, not to mention in awe of the young golfer and his stunning talents on the greens.
